Convert AVIF to JPG

AVIF is the newest web image format — great compression, but many editors, printers and forms still reject it. Convert your AVIF files to universal JPG in one step, locally in your browser.

  3. Download your JPG files — they now open everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Where do AVIF files come from?

More and more websites serve AVIF because it compresses 30–50% better than JPG. When you save one of those images, you get a .avif file that many apps cannot open yet.

Does converting AVIF to JPG lose quality?

The tool re-encodes at high quality, so the difference is imperceptible in normal use. Transparency, if present, is filled with white (JPG has no alpha channel).

Why not keep the image as AVIF?

If everything you use supports AVIF, keep it — it is smaller. Convert to JPG when compatibility matters: old software, printing services, upload forms.

Is the conversion private?

Yes. Your browser decodes AVIF natively and the conversion runs on your device; no file is uploaded.
