Privacy policy

This policy sets out what happens to your data when you use Imgnest. In one sentence: your images are processed on your own device and never reach us, and the only thing we collect is anonymous, aggregate traffic statistics.

Your images are never uploaded

Every Imgnest tool processes files locally in your browser, using JavaScript, the canvas API and WebAssembly codecs running on your own device. Your images are never uploaded, transmitted, stored or seen by us — at no point do they leave your computer or phone.

You do not have to take that on trust. Open any tool, switch off your connection, and it carries on working, because there is no server to send anything to. Imgnest is a set of static files; all the actual work happens between the page and your own processor.

This matters more than it sounds. People bring passport photographs, ID scans, screenshots of bank statements and medical documents to image tools, usually because some upload form demands a specific file size. On a conventional site every one of those files is copied to a stranger's server. Here there is nothing to copy it to: we cannot recover an image for you, cannot see what you processed, and could not hand your files to anyone else even if we were compelled to.

Analytics

We use a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service to count page views and see which tools get used. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across other sites. What we see is aggregate — how many visits a page received, roughly which country they came from, which site linked here — and none of it identifies you or has any connection to the images you process, which we never receive.

Advertising

Imgnest is free and funded by advertising. Ads on this site are served byGoogle AdSense, a third-party advertising network.

Advertisers have no access whatsoever to the images you process. Ads run in their own frames and cannot read what a tool is doing, because the tool's data never leaves your browser's memory. Our cookie policy lists exactly what ends up stored on your device.

What we store on your device

A single item of browser local storage, recording that you dismissed the "this page is available in another language" suggestion so it is not shown again. Local storage never travels with network requests, so it is never sent to us or anyone else, and clearing your browsing data removes it.

Your rights

The GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. There is remarkably little here to exercise those rights against: no accounts, no mailing list, no file history, no profile. If you have emailed us, that correspondence is the only personal data we hold, and you can ask for its deletion at any time atyo@sergiodelarosa.es. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority — in Spain, theAEPD.

Children

Imgnest is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are summarised here rather than made quietly.
